Silgrey Rustic Resort, 40 km NE of Bancroft is located on the York River at the Conroy Rapids, a registered Walleye spawning site. The spawn takes place between mid April and mid May – a perfect time to visit Silgrey. Silgrey is ideal for those that want a more down to earth vacation experience. Outdoor toilet facilities and a shower house with hot & cold water add to the rustic experience. Campsites are also available. Silgrey has direct access to the Conroy Marsh, a favorite fishing site providing excellent Walleye, Large and Smallmouth Bass and Pike fishing. The Marsh is also a great place for nature photographers, bird watchers and canoeists. Boat and motor rentals are available. Canoes are available with cabin rentals. Boat launch and docking facilities are available. Let us know when making a cabin reservation if you need to dock your own boat.
