"I started advertising my business, The 8th
Side, with TheOttawaValley.com in January, 2006 with
banner ads as well as the Gold Package Business
Directory and Exclusive Listings. Once the ads
were up and running the unique visitor count on my
website tripled to over 100 new ones per month.
They were also kind enough to post my newsletter on
their website in the column section of their site at no
cost.
Since I was receiving not just great traffic but great
service, I asked them to design my newsletter, 'the
Kat's Eye', and promote it through TheOttawaValley.com
by having them send it out to their mailing list of over
2000 local businesses and consumers. My first
issue went out with them in April to a mass audience.
Come June, within a day of it going out, I received 3
calls and 2 new clients. In July, within hours, I
received a call from A-Channel Morning; they had
received my newsletter and liked it so much they wanted
to interview me on the show. This took place the
following week and it was fantastic exposure for my
business.
